Masonry Restoration
Tuckpointing & Rebuilding
Due to exposure to the elements, usage and the passage of time, bricks and mortar eventually show signs of wear.
Depending upon the degree of deterioration different types of repairs are required.
When to repoint: Repointing should be considered whenever existing mortar joints are eroded 1/3 inch or more from the face of the masonry, or if the joints are visibly cracked or separated from the masonry units.
Crown Repairs
The crown is the cement slab at the top of a masonry chimney. Crown repairs range from minor crown seals to complete crown rebuilds. If deterioration is left unattended it will eventually lead to damage to the structure.
Masonry restoration is an art. It requires well equipped, well trained, and caring craftsmen to do the job correctly. Staying true to the buildings original look is extremely important to you, and to us. |
